  • Asma Al Amin is a lawyer and academician with a background in International Human Rights Law. She is a Faculty member of the law department at BGC Trust University Bangladesh. She has extensive experience working on Environment and Human rights issues at both national and regional levels, including with the United Nations Action for Cooperation against Trafficking in Persons (UN-ACT), Thailand, International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Nepal. She is a European Commission APMA Fellow and completed her Master of Arts in Human Rights and Democratization from Mahidol University, Thailand. Later, she completed the European Commission Funded APMA Internship Program as a Southeast Asia research fellow from the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ), Thailand. In 2022, she has been awarded researcher for the Asia Pacific Region, funded by Global Campus of Human Rights, in partnership with the Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, South Africa She holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Premier University, Bangladesh. Her current research project is on internal displacement affiliated with the University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa.
