Asma Al Amin is a distinguished lawyer and academic with a specialization in International Human Rights Law. She is a faculty member at the Department of Law of BGC Trust University in Bangladesh and has extensive experience in addressing human rights issues at national and international levels. Her notable contributions include work with the UN-ACT in Thailand and ICIMOD in Nepal. As a European Commission APMA Fellow, she successfully completed her Master of Arts in Human Rights and Democratization from Mahidol University, Thailand in 2017. Additionally, she achieved the European Commission Funded APMA Internship Program as a Southeast Asia research fellow from the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) in Thailand. In 2022, she was honored with a prestigious researcher position for the Asia Pacific Region, funded by the Global Campus of Human Rights in partnership with the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. In 2024, she represented the APMAA Task Force on Climate Justice and Rights of Future Generations at Panteion University, Greece. Currently, her primary focus lies in the realm of Climate Justice and the Rights of Future Generations.
