Abhijit Pathak teaches as an Assistant Professor and Coordinator (MCSE Program) in the Department of CSE  and he is also a Coordinator (MPH Program) at the Dept. of Public Health. 

Mr. Pathak holds an M.Sc. (Eng.) in CSE from Port City International University, a B.Sc. (Eng.) in CSE from Premier University Chittagong, and an MBA (Finance) from the same institution. He has published over 20 articles, posters, and abstracts in the aforementioned research fields. In addition, he attended a number of prominent national and international conferences. His current Google Scholar citation count is 263, and his h-index and i-index are 6 and 4, respectively. His Scopus publication total is seven. He oversaw numerous CSE Project students. He is currently a guest speaker for the Bangladesh Computer Council, the IEB, and the Chattogram region, as well as a member of the advisory board for RockWon IT Global Ltd., Korea. He is especially interested in artificial intelligence, computer-human interaction, data mining, and software quality assurance. He is currently the faculty sponsor for the BGCTUB ACM Student Chapter, president of the BGCTUB Robotics Club, and director in charge of the BGCTUB Online Portal.

Areas of Expertise

i) Robotics:

It is one of the most competitive and emerging industries in the world. There are two opportunities for robotics engineering graduates in private and public enterprises. Robotics is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, manufacture, use, and operation of robots. It is a multidisciplinary branch of the electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. The objective of robotics is to create intelligent machines that can aid and assist humans in their daily lives. They are designed to perform a task normally performed by humans.

ii) IoT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence):

Internet of Things and artificial intelligence are combining to generate the artificial intelligence of things (AIoT). Gartner anticipated that by 2022, over 80% of enterprise IoT initiatives will incorporate an AI component. IoT devices gather vast quantities of data known as sensor data, which are subsequently analyzed by businesses. A manufacturing facility, for instance, may utilize IoT sensors to indicate the site temperature, which would then be logged in a database that maintains temperature data for all sites. AI and machine learning might then assist database managers with data organization, temperature control, and facility optimization. Using AI also promotes future environmental improvement through predictive analytics. AI makes the data collected by IoT devices relevant, helps remove redundant data from large data repositories, and employs data science to do difficult data analysis.
