    Areas of Expertise

    1. Data Structures and Algorithms: This area covers the fundamentals of algorithms and various algorithmic strategies, including time and space complexity, sorting algorithms, recurrence relations, divide and conquer algorithms, greedy algorithms, dynamic programming, linear programming, graph algorithms, problems in P and NP, and approximation algorithms.
    2. Networking: Networking Provide the learning about computer network organization and implementation, obtaining a theoretical understanding of data communication and networks, and gaining practical experience in installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of current LAN systems.
    3. Decision Support Systems: This area focuses on the use of computer-based systems to assist managers by supporting their decisions making processes. The design, implementation and use of such systems are the fastest growing areas within information systems today. The perspective taken in the course is one of modeling and design: both effective modeling and design require and enhance problem solving and decision-making process. This area concerns the capabilities, structures and uses of decision support systems (DSS) to assist managers in making decisions.
    4. Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI builds on the foundations of Artificial Intelligence by delving more deeply into those AI algorithms and approaches that go under the name of Good Old Fashioned AI or Symbolic AI. The research of AI aims to cover logic programming, expert systems and business rules, fuzzy logic, case-based reasoning, and knowledge graphs. It will explore more advanced versions of planning and reinforcement learning algorithms.
